Herceg Novi is a coastal city in Montenegro, located at the entrance to Kotor Bay, at the foot of Mount Orjen. It is the administrative center of the commune of the same name, which has around 33,000 inhabitants.

The beautiful old town center hosts some points of interest, while to the north is the Spanish Fortress, and to the east is the Savina Monastery.

The city does not have sandy beaches, the coast being made up of several concrete platforms, interrupted, from place to place, by rocky bays, which hide small portions of gravel beaches.
