Hotel Lighthouse was built in 1978 and was named Metalurg. The hotel was socially owned until 2008 when it was privatized. Since then, the hotel's priority has been to continuously increase the level of services and rebuild the hotel.

After the partial reconstruction of the hotel in 2011, the hotel is given a new name "Lighthouse".
